So guys, does anyone of you know Richard Avedon? No one? Well that's not reprehensible, I haven't known him since I had to prepare a presentation about Avedon in my photography class in school. That's right, we have a photography course in school!☺Be that as it may, Richard Avedon is probably the most notable fashion and portrait photographer ever, who still influences this branch with his work significantly. He came to New York as son of jewish-russian immigrants, where he made his mark during his life. He even worked for Vogue and Harpers Bazaar! As if this wasn't enough, there is hardly any famous person he did not photograph. It is indeed incomprehensible how long the list is: Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles number among for instance. But how did this incredibly cool guy made it to turn the world of fashion upside down? Well there's a simple reason: He took his photos on the streets, which has been revolutionary at that time. Moreover, he photographed in motion in order to breathe life into the pictures. For me, Avedon is a really inspiring person, you have to see his work! I actually tried to copy this motion photography - if this really worked out leaves undecided, but at least I tried!☺You can check out his impressive work by clicking here.
